Each year, the Department of Geography and Environment host several activities and seminars to present and discuss recent advances in geography research, from Western and beyond. Speaker Series

Speaker series offers informal talks and discussions on various Geography and Environment related issues. It is open to staff, students, faculty and the general public. We are serving complimentary Fair Trade coffee, tea and cookies. Come out and listen to what people are up to!


GIS Day provides an international forum for users of geographic information systems (GIS) technology to demonstrate real-world applications that are making a difference in our society. The Department of Geography and Environment invites you to participate in our annual celebration during Geography Awareness Week in mid-November.
